As early as 1275, the oldest parish register mentions the parish of Immendorf, whose origins undoubtedly go back even further. The medieval parish church was rebuilt again and again after fires in 1484 and in 1530.
In 1704, the church was once more consumed by flames. In the years that followed, it was rebuilt with a simultaneous extension and crowning of a newly designed tower that had an onion dome, instead of the previous gabled roof.
On 18th September 1707, the church was consecrated anew. A further expansion took place between 1907 and 1908, which resulted in the Neo-Baroque sacral architecture that is still visible today.
