After a tragic fire in 1757, the Hörmannhaus was rebuilt. After it was first acquired by Josef Hörmann in 1897, its subsequent owner, Thaddäus Endres, donated it to the Capuchin Monastery in 1905. The Capuchin monks used the house as a bakery where, for example, they baked bread and then distributed it to the needy in distress. The local history museum was also housed here for a time. Now it can be found in the Museum Hofmühle.
In 1992, the Hörmannhaus was renovated and rebuilt by the city. Today, you can buy pottery bowls, figures and pots in the listed building. The people of Immenstadt still call it the “Hörmannhaus”.
