The Former City Palace

The historical City Palace of Immenstadt (Schloss Immenstadt) was built in 1550 by Count Hugo von Montfort as an official residence.

Between 1595 and 1620 it was extended into a palace by Georg Freiherr von Königsegg von Esaias Gruber the Younger from Lindau. For this purpose, several town houses were dismantled and placed in front of the Sonthofener Tor.

The listed building is divided into the former official residence, the bay window in the middle and the right-hand side. The left part of the palace has a cellar.

Today it is privately owned and operated as a palace open to the public. Various events are held in the banqueting hall and the palace restaurant on the ground floor invites visitors to unwind and tarry a while.
