The Count’s Brewery

Photography around the year 1875 of the brewery and factory district

The new building of the Count’s Brewery, which had been destroyed by fire in 1765, was commissioned only one year later by Franz Hugo Graf zu Königsegg-Rothenfels. A new brewery building with the tap house “Zum Löwen” was built.

In 1807 it changed hands. Franz A. Höß bought it at an auction. It was not until 1894 that it was acquired by the brewmaster Augustin Kaiser. This building was located in the middle of the brewery district of the Kaiserbrauerei in Immenstadt. Many surrounding houses, such as the count’s stables, are also important parts of the brewery’s history.

Large extensions created a distinguished villa in 1908. The associated operating buildings were demolished in 1994. After the reconstruction into a residential and commercial building in 1996/97, a law office can be found here today.
